"Excellent hotel, great location"

Have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and on one of the upper floors with an excellent view. The beds are extremely comfy and the maid service efficient. It is really quiet, but you can sometimes hear other guests coming and going as the room doors are around a large atrium. The breakfast was reasonably good, being better than some of the cheaper buffet types on I-Drive.The staff are young and lively. The bar staff are a real pleasure to talk to and in particular Shaun is great fun.The I-Drive Green route trolly bus stops outside and and the Red route is about 5 minutes walk away.There are several good restaurants close by with Fish Bones being the best, but a tad expensive. Darryls is also good value but further to walk.This is one of the few hotels that offer shuttle transport to all the theme parks, albeit that sometimes the timing of these doesn't suit ones plans for the day.We had originally booked to stay in the Sheraton World Resort but having read Tripadvisor we changed our booking to this hotel. We are really pleased that we did.

"Better than the Rest"

Just returned from 7 nights at the Crowne Plaza Universal and if you are looking for a high quality hotel for a reasonable price then look no further. The property is a 5 minute walk away from I Drive which keeps it quiet enough, yet near the action should you require it and there is a green line trolley stop just outside for those not wishing to walk. The rooms are spacious and cosy, and with the hotel being quite new don't have the "tired" look of some I Drive resorts. The beds are indeed very comfy, with the hotel staff being helpful when asked for advice. Didn't actually eat in the hotel as there is simply too much choice on I Drive and at Citywalk, but I do recommend the pizza place for a quick snack. I hope this review helps somebody as I will use the Crowne Plaza again. We booked through Airnet and got a good price of ?44 a night.
