"Affordable, Unique Hotel in a GREAT Location!"

We stayed at the "The Castle" Doubletree Hotel starting on November 24, 2003 for 4 nights. We both work in the hotel industry, and therefore tend to be slightly more critical of guest accommodations and service when we travel. We were extremely pleased with both at the Castle. The front desk was always friendly and helpful with whatever request we threw their way. The hotel is affiliated with 2 restaurants. We dined at Cafe Tu Tu Tango...a unique restaurant that serves absolutely delicious, appetizer-size "meals". The actual room that we stayed in was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool and whirlpool for guest convenience. As for location, it is perfectly located on International Drive, with lots to see on both sides of the hotel. In front of the hotel is stop 27 of the I-Ride Trolley...highly recommended for getting around International Drive. (You can get a 3-day pass for just $3.) Shopping is plentiful as are a variety of restaurants. If you are looking to go to SeaWorld, the Trolley will take you there and back. If you will be going to Walt Disney World, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle twice a day. As you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Castle and will definitely stay there when we visit Orlando again!

My wife and I stayed here for three weeks may'03. We found the hotel to be very good all round. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful any time we needed them. The cleaning maids were a bit hit and miss, we returned to our room on more than one occasion to find that dirty bed linen had been left on the second bed in the room?! If you stay here, venture up onto the roof with a pack of beer. This gives great views of I-Drive and is really quiet so is great for just chatting to your other half. Try the food at cafe tu-tu tango, it's great. Also good is Sweet Tomatos (Located at the top end of I-Drive) it's great value and excellent food! The whole mystical decor of the castle is great! You could do a lot worse than here!
