Hotel overview

• Gargantuan dolphins are beacons atop the 27-story, triangular resort across from its companion hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan, both a 15-minute walk to Epcot.
• Pineapple-shaped lamps, boldly colored bedspreads, and modern furniture carry the hotel's lighthearted, over-the-top design into 1,509 guestrooms.
• A health club is located near the 3-acre grotto swimming pool, and there's a white-sand beach for sunning on the waterfront, where boats can also be rented. Award-winning Shula's Steakhouse is tops for dining.

The oversized, fantastical architecture-five-story dolphins, giant banana leaves painted on the exterior, cascading fountains-creates an ambience of whimsy, but it's whimsy with an overlay of sophistication. The showy lobby rotunda is 10 stories high, with a central fountain, brightly colored fabric creating an overhead canopy, and artwork everywhere.

Property amenities

Amenities include free meals for children aged 9 and younger at select restaurants (up to two children per room). Free shuttles deliver guests to Walt Disney World Theme Parks, and Disney tickets are for sale in the hotel lobby. Camp Dolphin is open to kids 4-12 every night.

Policies

Frequent flier miles and Starwood Preferred Guest points are not offered on the room portion of your total charges for these rates.

A daily resort fee of $10 is charged per room and due upon checkout. Fee includes:

Recreation

A heated pool with a waterfall and slide, an adjacent children's playground, four lighted tennis courts, and a health club as well as Disney's Fantasia Gardens and Disney's Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf courses provide plenty of action. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

This resort features 1,509 guestrooms. The hotel's whimsical tropical theme extends to the hallway corridors outside the rooms, with patterned carpets and waves on the walls. Rooms are cheerful, with bold colors, fine art prints, and sitting areas.
