Stayed at the Grosvenor Resort for five days at the start of September. I was a little nervous about staying here after reading tripadvisor. I agree that the rooms are a little dated, but ours were very clean and had nice toiletries in the loo. The pool area is lovely.Plenty to do at the hotel when not at the parks. 10 minute walk to restaurants/shops. No hessitation in staying here next year. Provided we get a similar rate as this year.
We stayed here at the end of August, and spent the whole summer worrying about it due to all the bad reviews. When we found we had been given a room in the wing, I almost freaked out. But, the room was fine, clean, good TV, with room enough for a rollaway, and a refrigerator which made it easy to eat a quick breakfast before heading out in the morning. The pools were really nice, the restaurant had a reasonable character breakfast for our last morning, The only real problem the hotel had for us was the stinky staircases, which were very stinky. This was our first trip to Orlando, and we spent very little time in the room, but we had a great trip and felt fine coming back to the hotel in the evening. I think I would have felt ridiculous spending a ton of money on an expensive hotel, given how little time we spent in the hotel. So, if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that is close to everything, don't be scared of the Grosvenor. Check availability and book Grosvenor Resort |
