Hotel overview

• This 750-room hotel is designed around a tropical water setting just 8 miles from Walt Disney World Resort, next to Epcot.
• Each guestroom has a small balcony and features ceiling fans, rattan furniture, and rich fabrics.
• Besides a private lake, golf course, and miles of trails, guests can choose tennis, horse riding, and a half-acre pool with 12 waterfalls.

This hotel, with its strongly tropical ambience, is part of the lushly landscaped and self-contained Grand Cypress Resort that covers 1,500 acres. The 18-story, pyramid-shaped Hyatt Regency has three guestroom wings and a 200-foot atrium lobby. The hotel opened in 1984, and the rooms were completely renovated in 1996. Free shuttles are available to the nearby theme parks.

Property amenities

This 1,500-acre resort offers five restaurants, three lounges, a 800,000-gallon swimming pool, a health club, supervised Camp Hyatt programs for children and families, and a heli-pad for guests arriving by private helicopter (landing clearance must be made in advance). Free shuttles are available to selected area attractions.

Valet parking: $5-15 per 24-hour period. Secured parking garage with in/out privileges. Self parking: Self parking is complimentary. Fees do not include tax and are subject to change without prior notification.

Policies

A daily resort fee of $12 per room is due upon check-out. The fee covers the following:

• Transportation to theme parks
• Shuttle service around resort to golf course, equestrian center, and villas
• Access to the health club
• Access to the golf driving range
• Use of the tennis courts
• Use of the Pitch 'n Putt
• Rental of bicycles and boats
• Local and toll-free calls

Fee is subject to change without notice. There are no room charges for children 18 and younger when occupying a room with adults.
Rollaway beds and cribs are complimentary; both are subject to availability and and should be requested at the time of booking.
Photo identification and credit card or cash deposit are required upon check-in for incidental charges. All special requests are subject to availability upon check-in.

Recreation

The Grand Cypress features 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus-designed championship golf, including 18-hole Scottish links, an award-winning golf academy, and a 9-hole pitch-and-putt course. There is a racquet club with 12 private courts (five are lit at night), an Equestrian Center, and a fully equipped health and fitness center. Guests may cool off in the hotel's massive freeform pool as well.
