One of the original Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Disney's Polynesian Resort has aged beautifully, with its South Seas architecture and dense landscaping-gardenias, banana trees, hibiscus, and orchids abound. The Poly, as it's affectionately known, lives up to high standards from the moment guests step into the Great Ceremonial House, until they see their wicker-and-bamboo rooms in the two- and three-story longhouses.

    This hotel features 853 guestrooms, all of which were refurbished in 1998. The rooms are in 11 two- and three-story village longhouses named for various Pacific islands. Furnishings are wicker and bamboo, with decor in muted shades of brown and green. Large marble baths have a spacious vanity.

    Lagoon View Room - These guestrooms offer two queen-sized beds and one day bed, and can accommodate a maximum of five adults, plus one child under the age of 3 in a crib. The rooms offer views of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

    Lodge Concierge Room - These guestrooms offer two queen-sized beds and one day bed, and can accommodate a maximum of five adults, plus one child under the age of 3 in a crib. Concierge service includes personalized front desk and Guest Services, robes, make-up mirror, phone in bath area, data port on phone, coffeemaker (upon request), minibar, and turndown service. The concierge lounge offers complimentary Continental breakfast, midday snacks, afternoon tea, evening wine and cheese, evening cordials, and dessert. The lounge offers a prime view of the park fireworks.
