Inspired architecturally by the grand palazzos of Italy, The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes is set on 500 lush, landscaped acres less than 15 minutes from Orlando's many theme parks, including Walt Disney World. The resort opened in July 2003 as part of Grande Lakes Orlando, which also includes the adjacent JW Marriott hotel, and the hotel features a 40,000-square-foot spa and a championship 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman.

Additional amenities include three tennis courts, a sloped-entry heated outdoor pool, a children's pool, and extensive fitness facilities. There are seven dining options available on the property as well. Like all members of The Ritz-Carlton family, the resort offers a comprehensive children's program. Indoor and outdoor meeting and banquet facilities are also available.

    This hotel features 584 guestrooms and suites. All guestrooms, which range from 480 to 490 square feet in size, feature a 5-foot private balcony with views of the lakes, golf course, pool, or resort gardens. Rooms also have hand-painted Italian furniture and all offer CD players, DVD players, and high-speed Internet access. Cable TVs in each room offer The Disney Channel and the Family Channel. Bathrooms are marble and have separate tubs and showers, two sinks each, and plush terrycloth robes and slippers. Housekeeping is performed twice daily and evening turndown service is offered as well.
