Not bad all round. Would recommend it, although a bit chipped in parts.Lots of car parking space available.Very good location. Beside just about everything and many things are within walking distance. The water slide is very good and the kids love it. Probably too many kids in the pool for those of us who are 20 somethings..but hey we can manage..the only two drawbacks for me were the stairwells, were a bit dirty and a bit spooky in the evenings..second one: noise in the corridors some guests like to jump from room to room talking to their friends etc. but it causes one helluva racket and nobody from the hotel seemed to be patrolling the wing furthest away from reception ever..that part of the hotel can feel a little isolated..the staff themselves are excellent. in the mornings they really set you up for the day and tell you all the tips you need to knowthe breakfast is out of this world and the level of service is superb. real characters among the staff at that time..the room is pretty decent; seemed fine perfect really. although get the air conditioning just right is a battle..bar lacks atmosphere; usually empty most nights and a little sad lookingbut apart from that would recommend it cant really go wrong; the 80s safari theme is a little tacky; but it makes you like the place even more in a strange kind of way..
If youre looking for a five star resort, look elsewhere. If youre looking for a clean resort with a good pool and a decent amount of amenities, this is a great place to stay.My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton Safari from 3/16/03 to 3/21/03. We enjoyed our time in Orlando. The hotels location was central to everything. There are plenty of places to eat within 5 minutes of the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel serves a good breakfast buffet. Although the information we were given told us they had a made to order omelet station, there was never one when we were there. We never ate dinner at the hotels restaurant. We did however order room service once. The order arrived within 30 minutes and was very good. Cost for room service is on par with all resort type hotels. The room was clean and in good condition. The bathroom was also very clean. Our room was located at the back of the resort facing the parking lot and a fountain of the resort behind the Sheraton. The beds were as expected, fairly stiff, but comfortable. Im used to a pillow-topped mattress. The only complaint I had with the room was the lack of good lighting. Our room could have used a floor lamp or some other form of light. The pool is excellent. The water slide is good for kids of all agesIm 28 and I used it. The pool is large enough to never feel overly crowded. The pool area is also clean and has plenty of lounge chairs. The sun hits the pool for most of the day. Pool hours from 8am-11pm, which was nice after walking around the parks all day. You have plenty of time to get back to your room, change, take a dip in the pool or hot tub, and still get dinner.Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. If youre like my wife and I and wish to stay 1-2 day out of a weeks vacation to relax by the pool, this is a great place to stay. All of Orlandos attraction are just minutes away. The airport is about 15-20 minutes away. We booked our room online at Hotels.com and got an excellent rate. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!
The hotel was fantastic, especially for the rate we received through Priceline. The staff was very responsive and accomodating. Just ask for an upgrade and they will give it to you if they have room. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and very cheap. Walking distance to Disney, though we visited Universal and Sea World, both within 5-10 minutes away. The pool was delightful - my kids loved it and stayed in until it closed each night. The balconies were great. Awesome!!!! Check availability and book Sheraton Safari Hotel Lake Buena Vista |
