"Liked the Sheraton Vistana Resort"

Stayed at the Vistana Resort with my husband and children ages 15,16, 6 & 7 from Nov. 23-28th. Received a better rate of $190.00 per night which included tax thru Liberty Travel. Had requested non smoking due to 2 children having allergies, upper level for security reasons and the cascades sections which is newer & where the main pool and most of the children's activities are held. Upon arrival we were given the first floor in the Lakes or Springs I can't recall, which was about the furthest section away from the main area. I was told they had nothing else available. We went to the room and it stunk like smoke! Called the front desk and requested a new room smoke free! They told me I had not requested non smoking. I told them it was on my reservation slip which I handed to the clerk at the front desk and verified at check in. About 15min later we had another room on the 2nd floor in the building next door. Amazing - at check in all they had was 1 room on the first floor available! Beware you may request anything you want but most likey you won't get it. The grounds were nice and well kept. The property is huge and a bit confusing. Each section has it's own pool which is nice therefore you won't have to walk far to get to one. Our pool was perfect for our 6 & 7 year olds. O entry and plenty of room for them. The other side of the pool was too deep for them. Bring your own swimmies and water floats or you will have to buy or rent them. There are activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, teen dance etc - but there is a fee to participate. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is adequate for preparing meals. They were not as clean as I would have liked, but liveable. There is a vcr in the livingroom area, and 3 tvs in all. The kitchen could use some saran wrap and plasctic storage bowls. They provide dishwasher detergent, and paper towels, but bring your own dish liquid and washing machine detergent. All in all it is a good place to stay.

"Had a great time"

My husband, two children (ages 5 and 8), and I just returned from our first trip to Disney. After an exhausting day at the theme parks, it was a pleasure to return to our condo. Yes, the some of the furniture was a bit worn, but all in all, it was the perfect accomadation for us. The fully equipped kitchen was more than adequate to prepare any meal. With the washer/dryer, we were able to keep our laundry done and always have a fresh supply of towels. Our kids loved the pools! I enjoyed being able to relax while they entertained themselves. Restaurants were located near-by and each had "specials" on different days. The grounds were neatly kept and well lighted for those night-time walks returning from the pool or general store. Publix and Walgreens were close enough to provide whatever was needed that we had forgotten to bring. We were fortunate in that we had our car and were not dependent on anyone else for transportation. My family and I will stay there again next year for our trip to Disney.
