Islands of Adventure
Have an entire day full of action and excitement at Islands of Adventure. Thrilling roller coasters and wild rides make Universal's newest theme park in Orlando, Florida an incredible place to visit.
When you enter the park, you'll first find yourself on Marvel Super Hero Island. Here you can ride The Hulk, one of the fastest roller coasters in Orlando. Blast through the air on tight turns and spinning loops on this wild coaster. If you're brave, take a ride on Dr. Doom's Fearfall. Get rocketed up over 100 feet in the air, then free fall all the way down before blasting up all over again. As you continue around the park, you'll end up in wacky world of cartoon characters and comical fun. Ride Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls or Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges for a soaking wet experience. Don't worry, you'll dry off in the sun. Jurassic Park is the next stop. Here you can take a trip on The Jurassic Park River Adventure, a visit with dinosaurs that turns into a hectic trip with a major splashdown at the end. Youngsters can have a blast on the Pteranadon Flyers, high-flying cable-car-style rides that are great for kids. Get ready, because the next site you'll see is the towering tracks of Dueling Dragons. Choose from two tracks to ride, one that faces forward, and the other backwards. Either way, you'll fly down sharp turns and corkscrews as you hang on tight. This coaster isn't for the faint of heart. Bright colors and fanciful creatures are the theme in the next area of this Orlando theme park, Seuss Island. Here you can ride through an enchanting retelling the classic tale of "The Cat in the Hat." You've never heard the story told like this before. You can also take a leisurely ride on One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish or the Caro-Seuss-el, both great for younger visitors. Islands of Adventure's many themed island areas make the park a diverse retreat for vacationers. The main focus of the park is high-speed thrills, but there's plenty of tame adventure for youngsters, too. Hotel reservationHotel, bed and breakfast, apartment-venere.com
