Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

A ship, stranded on a mountain by a giant wave during a storm - is a symbol of Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

The most famous attraction of the waterpark is Humunga Kowabunga - ride at speed up to 30 miles per hour through caves and curves.

Typhoon Lagoon also features a special area - Shark Reef - where guests can snorkel among live sharks and other tropical fish. Snorkeling equipment is available at Hammer Head Fred's Dive Shop.

At Wave Pools it possible to practice surfing and body-surfing with waves up to six feet tall. Surfing lessons are provided by Craig Carroll's Cocoa Beach Surfing School. (Class sizes are limited to 14 guests and everyone ages 8 and older is free to participate).

Other attractions of Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park:

Castaway creek: 2100-foot continuous river raft ride through rain forests, caves, open grottos and waterfalls.

Ketchakiddee Creek: children's play area with floating boats, slides, waterfalls, music and ball fountains.

Storm Slides: series of body slides propels guests through caves, waterfalls, geysers and finally drop into bubbling pools.

Two picnic areas are available at Typhoon Lagoon . All water is heated to 75-80 degrees year-around (excluding the snorkeling area).
