Orlando - Walt Disney World

Orlando… Once a quiet farming city, now is one of the most attractive tourist destinations of the United States of America. It wouldn’t gain such fame, if Walt Disney hadn’t decided to create a park of attractions here.

Orlando is situated in the heart of the state Florida – a resort state known for its perfect weather, beautiful nature and developed tourism infrastructure. The city was named in the honor of the soldier Orlando Rives, who died during Independence War.

The destiny of Orlando completely changes in the 1960s, when Walt Disney decided to create a park here. In 1971 the park was opened and its history of success began.
The area of 11000 hectares is occupied by the city of the future - "Tomorrowland", world-famous sea parks, aquarium-tunnel and other attractions.
All in all there are 4 major theme parks, Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

There are also 2 waterparks, Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Adults can choose from 2 nighttime entertainment complexes, Downtown Disney West Side, or Pleasure Island.

Sea World is the most popular sea park of America. Here you can watch sea-lions, sharks, giant turtles, bright exotic fishes and dolphins.

Walt Disney World stands 20 miles far from Orlando and you can find an accommodation within the park area, although it would be a little more expensive than in Orlando.
The only disadvantage of Walt Disney World is the lack of reservoirs. The ocean is 1,5 drive form the park

Annually park attracts about 30 millions of visitors and the staff counts 31 000 people.

The other place Orlando is famous for is Universal Studios Florida. It has 2 amazing theme parks, Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure. The great dining and entertainment complex CityWalk and several world class on-site hotels round out Universal Orlando ResortSM, make it a perfect vacation destination.

Kennedy Space Center is another Orlando attraction. Located on Canaveral Cape it exhibits American space rockets, shows films about space on the display 10-storey height. There are excursions to cosmodrome organized. Here tourists can also see a prototype of space shuttle.
So, come to Orlando and make you childhood dreams come true!
